Listeners prefer local contests like Guaranty Media’s contests over national contests.

NuVooDoo Media Services performed a study in which listeners to multiple genres of radio stations are more likely to participate in a Local contest for less money than a nationally staged contest in which they have a lesser chance of winning due to unbelievable odds from competing against the entire United States.

That’s the finding of a new NuVoodoo Ratings Prospects Study, which found that 59.8% of respondents are more likely to play a local radio contest with a smaller prize than the 35.7% who said they were more likely to play a national radio contest with a larger prize.”
