Guaranty Media’s Gordy Rush has been named as a finalist for Radio Ink’s prestigious Radio Wayne Awards in the General Manager category.

Radio Ink and QUU are rolling out the red carpet as they celebrate 30 years of excellence with the Radio Wayne Awards on September 22 in Miami.

Radio’s symbol of excellence and achievement are named for Wayne Cornils — a pioneer in radio with a career that spanned decades across many facets of the industry and whose passion and devotion to the radio industry is legendary.

Radio Ink Founder and CEO Eric Rhoads honored Wayne Cornils 30 years ago with these awards in his name, paying tribute to the best in radio sales, marketing and management.

Rush’s career in radio spans more than 3 decades; including 25 years with Guaranty Media, the only locally owned and operated radio broadcast group in Baton Rouge. The company is home to four radio stations: 104.5 ESPN Baton Rouge, Eagle 98.1 – The Rock Station, 100.7 The Tiger – Louisiana’s Country Station, and Talk 107.3.
