Guaranty Media becomes new radio partner of Live After Five

Produced by the Downtown Business Association, Live After Five (#LA5) is recognized as the longest running, most successful outdoor concert series in the history of Baton Rouge. It is estimated that in excess of 100,000 people attend each year. The DBA announced in February of this year that they have partnered with Guaranty Media for the first time in the history of the event. Eagle 98.1 will serve as the lead station in the partnership for Guaranty Media.

There are eight shows in the Spring and eight in the Fall. The concerts are from 5pm-8pm at The Crest at Galvez Plaza on North Boulevard/Town Square.

Now in its 17th season, LA5 was awarded the BEST COMMUNITY EVENT in the Greater Baton Rouge Area by 225 Magazine in 2014 & 2015. With a consistent 8,000-person crowd each week, LA5 is now positioned as one of the premier outdoor concert series in the Nation. The community benefits are many as LA5 fans trek Downtown to eat, drink, dance, socialize and visit the many businesses located on the Baton Rouge Riverfront.

LA5 is not just a Downtown event, but a destination for the Greater Baton Rouge community, its surrounding parishes and beyond.

The concert is FREE — just bring your lawn chairs and dancing shoes, and be ready to start your weekend the Louisiana way!

Michael’s own music has been featured in HBO’s hit series “True Blood,” as well as co-writing the theme song for the Amazon series “Cocked.” Michael Juan has recently finished recording his 5th album for ParishLine Records, which is being released in the early Spring of 2016.
