THE U.S. EXPRESS TRACK CLUB ACCEPTS DONATION TO HELP IN FLOOD RELIEF EFFORTS

In the weeks leading up to the season opener for the LSU Tigers football team the city was hit by historic rains and record breaking floods that left many residents in shock. Many lost everything from a lifetime of possessions to their entire home. 104.5 ESPN Baton Rouge and Culotta & The Prince reached out to one such family and organized a way to help provide some relief by raising money to them get back on track.

This family is The U.S. Express Track Club. “My track team is not just a team it’s a family”, says Coach and President Byron Turner. Coach Turner along with 50 members of the club’s family were displaced due to the flood.

Through the help of Carmex Lip Balm the ESPN Baton Rouge team acquired five pairs of tickets to LSU vs. Wisconsin at Lambeau Field in Green Bay Wisconsin. The tickets were awarded to the first five listeners who made a minimum $750 donation.

100% of the donations collected went to coach Turner’s U. S. Express Track Club.
